Report on the Visit to Mar Thoma Congregation, Chattanooga.

The Diocesan Bishop visited the Congregations on Sunday May 9th after the service at Staten Island MTC, NY. Rev Jai Varghese, Vicar of Atlanta Mar Thoma Parish, conducted the HQ service in the presence of the Bishop, Mar Theodosius

There was a dedication service for the two First Communicants. After the service there was Mother’s day celebration. Thirumeni rendered a meaningful message and blessed the occasion. Also, Thirumeni encouraged the members and gave valuable insights about the future growth of the congregation into the status of a parish. The service concluded with Kaimuth followed by fellowship dinner.

The Twelve Mar Thoma families living in Chattanooga met in the presence of the D Episcopa and discussed the possiasmibilities of becoming a parish. The members present decided to make a membership campaign and pledge the monthly subscription so that a parish can come into existence without much delay.  Thirumeni appreciated their enthus. Rev Jai Varghese will continue to give the group pastoral ministry. The meeting concluded with prayer.

This being the first Episcopal Visit to Tennessee and particularly Chattanooga Thirumeni took time to see some of the panoramic view of the place.
