EPISCOPAL VISIT TO HOREB MTC, COLORADO

It was a blessed time in the history of the Colorado Horeb MTC when it was visited by the Diocesan Episcopa the Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Thirumeni. We felt more privileged because the first visit of Thirumeni in his official capacity as the Diocesan bishop was during Christmas and it was Thirumeni's first Christmas as the Diocesan bishop in North America. Apart from all these this was the ever first Christmas Holy Communion Service of the parish and the parish had the privilege to have Thirumeni for this.

On 24th evening Thirumeni presided over the Carol Service which was conducted in the church and gave Christmas message. On the 25th at 10.00 AM the Holy Communion service was conducted by Thirumeni. 8 children took Holy Communion for the first time. .

The dedication service of the executive committee for the year 2010 was also conducted by Thirumeni. As Thirumeni is celebrating 20th anniversary of consecration as an Episcopa of the MTC and completing 60 years in his life ,the parish felicitated him. Mr. K C Kuruvilla ,vice president expressed the felicitations and thanked him. Mr. John Philip, Treasurer, presented a memento on behalf of the parish. Thirumeni appreciated the parish for its sustained development. After the fellowship meal our Youth had a wonderful time with Thirumeni. Thirumeni was keen on meeting the youth and our youngsters were excited to be with Thirumeni. A very cordial and constructive discussion developed a positive attitude of our youth towards the church, its mission and traditions. Around 30 youngsters attended the meeting.

During Thirumeni's visits to different homes also such discussions had their place .On 25th evening SAGE Family Medicine owned by Dr. Sara George and Mr. Sam George was blessed by Thirumeni and gave a devotional talk to community.

After the first Episcopal visit the people have a place for him in their heart. There are unforgettable memories about the Christmas celebration in the parish. The parish thanks the Almighty God for the blessed ministry of Theodosius Thirumeni the future.
