Mydukur Mission

Believers in this mission field attend worship services conducted in the churches at Chinthakunta, Madirappalli, Dasarappalli and Yekkoppalli. Worship services are also conducted at Yerraguntla, Ram Sai Nagar, Mundindlapall and Neelapuram villages. A total of 125 children attend Sunday school classes in different places. Sunday worship services are also held at the Mudakur Centre church at Byanappalli. Common programmes for the believers in the mission are also being held at this church.

Activities:  Women's conference: A one-day conference on counseling for women was held at St. Matthews Mar Thoma Church, Bainappalli. 105 members attended from different villages.

Vacation Bible School : VBS classes were conducted in - Chinthakunta Mar Thoma Church, Dasarapalli Mar Thoma Church, St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church , Yekkoppalli and at Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church , Madirapalli. In all 330 children attended.

Balawadis: Balawadis in villages cater to 134 children. Attached to the Balawadis we also run tuition centres for the school going children.

Self-Employment scheme : Seven tailoring machines were distributed at a subsidized price to students who have passed out from the Tailoring Training Institute at the St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church , Yekkoppalli.

Gnana Jyothi Mar Thoma School: As part of the Episcopal Jubilee Project, the English medium Gnana Jyothi Mar Thoma School was started at Bainappalli in May 2005. During the year we had forty -two students in LKG & UKG classes. We have subsidised the fees and provided transportation to make it affordable for the village community.

Child Development Project : The St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church , Vellore has sponsored educational aid for thirty children under this project. We provide educational materials, uniforms and snacks for the children.  Special meetings were arranged for the parents also.

Community Health Work: Through this project we are able to visit 259 families in 5 mission centres. Dr. O.U. George of Kerala Hospital in Chaglamari gave practical training to the Health Workers and guided them in community health programmes. Classes were conducted on general hygiene, antenatal care, childcare, and HIV/AIDS awareness.

Rev. D. Devadass worked as the missionary, along with five evangelists (  Manoj Marappa,  Salomi Rathna,  Prabhakar and  Premanand) doing their ministry at the different mission centres. The missionaries and evangelists working in the Rayalseema region participated in common programmes
