Neeredmet Mission

The  Mar  Thoma  Navajeevana  Samithy is  a  registered   society  established   in   the year 1997   in   the   twin  cities   of  Hyderabad  - Secunderabad. The   society   has   bben   involved   ineducational   activities, village   development  programme and   the   up liftment  of   the   poor through   the   educational  assistance   and  guidance   for   higher   education.  The  samithy   gives   a common  platform   for   the   four  parishes   in   the  city   to   serve   the  less  privilged.

The   Samithi   could   plan   for   a    centre   for   physically   challenged   and   the Sneha  Bhavan  was inaugurated   on  Nov11, 2006. This   year   we   had   five  differently  abled    children stayed   and   studied at   this   center.  This   novel   project   is   started   in  association   with  the  Diocese.

K.Prasad served as the evangelist and Rev. Thomas Mathew as the missionary in this centre. The mission covers five villages viz- Vinayak Nagar, J K Colony, Sai Nagar, Bharath Nagar and Santhosh Hima Nagar. Programmes held included health and hygiene classes, awareness building against social evils, and gospel outreach programmes through distribution of tracts and the screening  of VCDs. De-addiction counselling sessions and classes were also organized. The mission has started a balawadi with 25 students and a full time teacher
